The Pinnacle in Nashville, TN is even shorter. It may look more inline with the current SLC skyline.

What I think would be nice is to take the Richmond, VA skyline and drop it in the middle of SLC's skyline. Both skylines are comparable in height.

Very cool, nice work. Now that I see it I'm thinking it looks a little lonely.

I think something in the area of 525 ft would be ideal.

After the open house for the UPAC Thursday night, I walked around downtown with a friend; within a block of the UPAC site there are several ideal sites for new towers--the parking lot at Main Street & 100 South (the L-shaped site around the bank), the site at Regent Street and 100 South (Utah Law Services or whatever it is), 100 South and State (by Harmons, potentially CCC Building 7?), and the Carls Jr corner at 200 South and State. Those sites could all be locations for a New Tallest, if the UPAC Office Tower doesn't come through.

It's like looking 100 years into the future. I hope at least I live long enough ( 32 now ) to see most of this.

Love this thread!

I'd be interested to see what the Bank of America tower in Charlotte would look like in Salt Lake City.

That is a great building. I too would love to see that in SLC, maybe on the NE corner of State and 400 S. That would be a great addition to that intersection.

Comrade, looks like a taller 99 West, but I love it in the Salt Lake skyline. I would also like to say a 900' tower in that location does not look out of place from that view.

Rushed or not, very nice Comrade. I like that location for that height, and then just add a couple of 600 footers at 1st and the Northeast corner of State, and of course the Convention Hotel. That would be perfect. If that were the finish chosen for a tower like that, then I would want to see the other two finished in the same palette as The Regent.

My hope for the near future, 5-10 years, are the following 4 towers, all taller than Wells Fargo, and sight wise, taller than COB, (at least those north of 200 south taller sight wise)

PAC Tower, Harmons Tower, City Hall Tower (NE corner of State & 400 S), and Convention Hotel Tower.

If I was at all good with placing towers in pictures, or had the right software at work I would attempt to do so, but I'm not going to.

I just named it that due to the location. There is no proposal, just wishful thinking on my part that the parking lot will be gone soon.

Comrade, I love the crown and the fact that while it is so unique, it still seems to fit in with the rest of the sky-line... as if it belonged there!
