The new senior apartments on 300 S between 500 and 600 E. In the original photos it showed the building with a black trim rather than a white and someone mentioned that they hoped that they were going to paint it. Well, it looks like that isn't going to happen since the building is now open for business. I don't have any problems with the white trim though.
The apartments on 6th E, just north of 4th S. The street level on 6th East looks like it is pretty much built out and now they are just working on the 6 story part behind it. I like the set back look of this building, it fits much better with the feel of the street.

An old house on Floral Street. This house is being restored as part of the project and then the plan is to have some type of public plaza just north of it
Edison St. chalkboard. I really like this street and think that it has some of the best potential in downtown. I wrote that I would love the street if "the buildings were preserved and restored (I think that one is currently being restored. Either than or is being gutted for demolition, which I hope is not the case) and if it had public art from local artists"
Chalkboard on Regent St. Another area of great potential
I attended the theatre workshop a few weeks back and mentioned that I would like to see the historic buildings on Regent preserved. There was a little discussion about which buildings I meant, besides the Felt Electric Building which is below. I meant this one. I don't know anything about this building, but I really love the look of it. I think that it would make a great store and could be easily be converted into something. I'm sure the whole building can't be saved (and I don't think that the anything besides the facade is really interesting) but I would like to at least the facade preserved.

The new luxury apartments on 4th East between 1st and 2nd South
There has been a lot of talk about the need for a laundry mat. I don't think that the laundry mat or the pizza parlor are being demolished. The foundation and fence runs right along the pizza parlor (the laundry mat is the next building to the South and can't be seen in this picture). You can also check out in the next photo that it looks like the boundaries of the new apartment complex wrap around the laundry mat but that it will be staying.

Apartments on North Temple between the freeway and the biomat building
Landscaping along the TRAX line. North Temple is looking so good. I especially like the roses that are used and the connection they have with the Hispanic (and more specifically Mexican) feel of the West Side. Roses have a lot of connections with the Mexican culture, especially regarding the Virgin of Guadelupe, the patron saint of Mexico. I feel like it is an appropriate feel for the West Side and helps to establish their own feel and vibrancy, rather than copying some other location.
State Fair Grounds Stop. The stop looks great, I just hope they add some art cause it looks really blank.

Has anyone ever noticed the cow at the Library TRAX stop because I haven't. The sticker on the cow says "Safety Cow Says Do not stop on the TRAX"
