It is called the "We Teach Building" after famed Chinatown resident We Teach. You can read about it in the link below.

Mississauga would never have gotten as big as it has without Toronto being there, because its proximity to Toronto is why all of that employment is there. Mississauga is also where Toronto's airport happens to be, but you wouldn't call the Mississauga's airport, would you?

Mississauga might not depend on Toronto at this point in time, but it owes what it is to the existence of Toronto. Toronto would exist without Mississauga, but Mississauga wouldn't exist without Toronto. (BTW, if Mississauga had grown into the larger city and not Toronto, it would still be called Toronto because Mississauga is simply a new name for what was once Toronto Township in Peel County.)

There comes a time where it just makes more sense to tear down the entire house and start from scratch. This is one of those times.

I walked by that place a couple times when I was in Winnipeg last month and thought the same thing. I have no idea what they're doing to that house but it is suffering greatly. It actually looks better now than I remember it. The roof angles aren't even symmetrical! It would actually be fairly difficult to make that and have everything lined up. Whoever is behind that renovation is a madman.

You're saying everything that I said but with a different agenda. I am saying that today Mississauga is its own city. And about Pearson, why would Mississauga have its own Airport when the largest International Airport in Canada is within its borders?

Let's call a spade a spade here;

Mississauga at one point was completely dependent on Toronto.

Today Mississauga is its own city, with its own identity (though nothing akin to Winnipeg, Quebec City or other cities its size).

It is larger than Winnipeg.

The citizens within Mississauga would give you the worst case of evil eyes ever if you tried to insist that they were from Toronto.

Our brethren south of the border have even begun to recognize Mississauga as a city and would be able to point it out on a map.

It has a hell of a skyline for a city that is only 40 years old. And the Skyline isn't an extension of Toronto's skyline, rather its own.

I would never live there in a million years.

the only reason it has a skyline is because condos there are cheaper than they are in toronto....it doesn't even have a downtown....

if a city doesnt have its own CMA, its not a city, its a suburb....political boundaries are meaningless.

i doubt many americans can find it on a map.

Ask anyone who lives in one of the many cities surrounding Vancouver where they live and the answer will always be Vancouver. (except maybe if you live in North Vancouver)
