I think it should happen since it would lift it way above holland pointe proposed tower heights which is set to be bigger. But I havent been able to find anything.
Looking at this project (looks nice by the way) I would have to say the city must be the driving force here. That means perks for the developer. If I would be the developer in this case I would take the city and bend it over backwards...within reason obviously.
My point is that anytime the city pushes for a private project to be built it will result in someone profiting more then they should. Im 100% for this project but I would be interested to know the parties involved(and I dont mean the City and Century Group), just out of curiosity. Anytime a city is involved in such things people should keep a close eye on whats going on. (corruption is best when you are spending money on something you canot put a "value" on).
Well, sometimes it's a good policy though. The Central City tower is only one example of government / cities participating in building a major new building in an area that may have had to wait 15 more years to reach that level of urban development with the market driving things. Sometimes it's a failure and a waste of money, other times, in the long run it's a massive win for everyone. It really just depends how long the long run is if you're the city / government if you want to go that route.

I love this design just as it is. But I'm really curious to see what floorplans they have in mind for the residential units. Plus... y'know... price an' all. I've already sold my soul for a unit in here. If neccissary, I'll add in my brother's left kidney. Possibly even his liver if needed...
Nice rendering. Its interesting that the car shown in the rendering is ultra futuristic. I hope they ain't implying this building will be completed in the distant future or something....

New Condo Guide magazine has the same information. Not sure how they count the "fifth tallest", but that would put this in the below 150 meters club.
