I wonder how much faith Menkes has in the Harbourfront Investor Market to launch Harbourplaza right now. I guess doing pre-registration will allow them to gage the market and see if they can go full throttle sales on these twin 70 floor towers in the near or very near future.

Urbantoronto.ca did an interview with the developer of the King Blue Condo project in the Entertainment District. The Easton Group with is working on the project with Remington Developments will donate a part of the site to the city of Toronto to be used as a Theatre and Entertainment Museum.

I wonder if that massive skyscraper in the shadowing is Lanterra's St. Jamestown Project...

If it is, it looks big.

Me too. Great colour, wonderful sense of proportions. This could end up being very good. It makes that newish one next to it look like a dud.

Site prep for Herald Square in Calgary (tallest proposal outside of Toronto).
The shorter heritage buildings have been removed with the white office building vacated and slated for demolition.

By me.

Ew... really? Okay well I guess I should reserve the ew for when there is more detail but... the original seemed much nicer.

Well I think it looks much better. The old version just looked like a box with some multi-colour spandrel to gussy it up, but this one has a cool shape and looks extremely sleek.

Looks promising. Looks like there is a slope to the thin edge of the tower.

I'm glad they are taking the shape of the parcel of land into consideration. It's not often in a city laid out in a grid formation you get to build something like this. Looks to be about 65 floors.

Hard to tell from that one image, but looks like it's a taller version of 1 King West.

ya it really does (a more boxy version)

I dig it a lot more than the original that's for sure. I hated the original.

this tower works a lot better with the site and the podium. I am worried about the boxed sides though as seen in that render, they look like giant walls of concrete.

I'm the opposite. The original was elegant, this looks like suburban crap. I'm just hoping that this latest rendering is very misleading.
