Redesign Capital Pointe? Aww :c It looks awesome in my opinion, what are they going to change?
and I did call Capital Pointe, apparently they expect the work of moving the power lines to begin in a couple of weeks as they finally got a new route planned out with Saskpower. And according to them it is true the costs associated with construction is different here then in other cities.
I wonder how the redesign affects the individuals who put down a deposit. Since the deposit was placed on a different building, would the redesign nullify the contract? I suppose the contract could have been written to cover changes in design.
Regardless, who would put money into this project at this point? I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole before the building is 100% complete, I have 0 trust in the developers.
There was a new cartoon that premiered on teletoon last nigh, called Fugget About It. It takes place in Regina. Lots of shots of Hill Tower I and II. Main Character pronounces Regina as "🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵". It wasn't a great show, but maybe it will grow on me.
It's a must watch because of the setting. Check it out if you get the chance.

Press reports this weekend on the opening of the first new dorm at the RCMP Depot say they are now planning 3 of them. The first $29 million building jsut opened. #2 is U/C.
No one has any news of what they are constructing on the Canterbury site at Broad and College? ( the work going on at the east end of the property, sort of behind the College Park seniors home)

They are re-pointing the tyndall stone - i.e. removing it all and putting it back with new stainless hardware and mortar. They are alos replacing all of the windows.
It seems like it has been slow going with the Commons, but wow all good things come to those who wait. The brick and Tyndall Stone sure beats the hell of out some bland stucco. That design sure blends well with all the old buildings around there.
