Yes, the building has a fun play on scale, but I also can't help but think the style would be really inexpensive to build. And the bland stucco colour gives off a sort of suburban image in contrast to the colours in town. Somehow I think if they changed the colour scheme and made it really intense lego colours I would actually like it. Like if the window glass was more clear or silver instead of tinted blue, and the walls were a vibrant blue, with the roof in a more intense red (or some other similar combination). That would make it seem less lazy/suburban and more avant-garde/modern.

I started disagreeing with you but, by the end, I agreed. I think a colour change could give the building more impact. I agree with a previous commenter who said the reflective glass gives it an aged appearance.

I think they should have copied this colour scheme, with each of the fishing stage sections of The Rooms being a different colour, like these actual ones:

Fortunately the colour wouldn't be that hard to change either. The hard part would be convincing them to do it lol.

But what is that thing anyway ? It sure ruins an otherwise lovely skyline.

(Martin, you'd cry if you knew what used to be there. Fort Townshend, a large, star-shaped citadel fortification built by the British. Of course, it was long gone before they built this.)

By the way, all, here is what the rest of the building looks like.

Ottawa may lack the height, but not density for sure!

Wowzers! I dig that Ottawa shot like a priest digs confession: I'm all about it!

I would totally take that photo out for dinner and listen to its tedious stories about nationhood and francophone reconciliation just to get into one of those canyons.

Word.

I was really suprised at how big the skyline appeared when I got up there. It's actually almost double that (Tunney's Pasture, Westboro, Vanier, etc..) about half-length on each side, but trees kept blocking the view.

Hopefully someone with a better camera than my t3i can get up there and take a nice Panoramic shot of the whole thing because i'm stil pretty new at this lol.

Doesn't really showcase a great skyline, but that first Fredericton pano is great. I only drove through in 2010, but it looked like a beautiful city and region in general.
