This is the citys most recent growth plan(i think) if you would call it that and yeah it does not show on a road connecting McCarthy blvd to Highway.

Did anyone else notice a blue fence where the Caterburry tower was to be. That tower was canceled even thoe its still on their website. What are they putting in it place.

Went out too the transportation hub. Lot of sand being laid down in the new rail yard. Pinkie road interchange has had allot done since I was last out there. I did not know it was going to be a double overpass. Also it was nice that they put temp traffic lights there to.

I believe more piling should start at the Pinkie Bridge in early September, then they will have to let the dirt settle for a month before construction can move forward on the bridge. I am sure there is other stuff to do.

I hear there is a CP Rail Maintanence Building going in at the GTH as well. Fastfrate building is getting closer. Yanke is going to be a 2013 construction project. Looked liked Wapple Construction was bringing the grade level up when I was out there last.

. . . . and not only is it a double overpass, it'll be a massive one at that!!! Unlike a regular overpasses, this one will be extremely W-I-D-E in order to accomodate trucks with 2-3 trailers. The next time you're out there, take another look at that; it is really something!!!

In the future, more trailers per tractor may be commonplace. In Australia, is very common for long-distance tractors to have as many as SIX trailers in tow!

I heard about those I think they call them road trains they aslo are done in Argentina and Mexico . Truckers have been know to tow up to 20 trailers at one time. It's really crazy.

It will be a double overpass eventually, not off the bat, it is just built-up for future expansion. It will only have the 2 lanes south and 1 lane north to begin with.

But yes quite the construction site out there!

Word on the street is that a "boutique hotel" has purchased the land at the NE corner of Broad Street and Badham Boulevard (Next to Sweet). That's definitely a change of plans from the original Cantebury Gardens layout that had a condo unit in that location, matching the one to the south of it.

I've also noticed the blue fencing around the area where the condo tower was to go at the Canterberry (sp) site at College and Broad, I see they are drilling pilings in this area.I have no clue what they are putting in that space.

Bored so I'm trying to figure out what's going on at the Cornwall Centre...lol

What I've found is RW&Co is hiring for Cornwall and Lululemon is currently hiring a manager for a Regina store (no address, no other info, but interesting, nonetheless...)

And that's about all I could find...lol Anyone know anything else?



On a different note, I was peeking at the Centre Square Place website and noticed that all of their commercial spaces are sold...wonder what's going to happen with those! (I just sent them a tweet about it, I'll see if they answer tomorrow, lol)

I've noticed the same thing about Centre Square commercial spaces. I've also noticed that the smaller one bedroom "birch" units seem to be moving the best (this is an observation that may or may not be statistically valid) which supports the idea that there is demand for smaller cheaper one bedroom units in downtown vs. the 2+bdrm luxo units that most projects (GoR, CP, CSP) are dominated by.

Not sure, but it seems like a good location. The wine bar/shop has me more excited, though...lol hopefully that gets worked out!

RW&Co is a division of Reitmans which sells both men's and women's clothing. Prices are similar to Reitmans, though it seems to be geared a little younger.

High-end women's clothing & accessories. (There's one at the Midtown Plaza.) It would be worth it for anyone though to merely walk in there to check out the floor pattern!
