Hate to say it, but Aura, will be boring for at least another 20 or 24 floors (Floor 55 or 58) not sure, when the curving curtainwall glass (100%) begins.

Honestly, it looks pretty bad at the moment. Like, Trump bad. Still a long way to go though.

Well, yes a very, very long way to go. almost 50 floors if you include the mechanical levels.

Funny Enough Aura, seems to mimic the office side of this development which is just down the block, with its raised mullions

You can see the older College Park Towers Rising in the background.

It's not my favourite but no way it looks as bad as trump.

I still have a bit of hope the top of this thing will look ok.

As long as the top and first 3-4 floors look ok that's the important part.

I'm pretty skeptical that they are going to continue those mullions on the dome all the way down the corner of the tower, given how much of this tower already seems like a poorly executed mish-mash. It just seems odd that they would carry out such a design element after the cladding has already been installed and from the top down.

Aura does look pretty messy, i think most of it is cause things literally are messy. they installed that massive ugly canopy over the sidewalk, the scrabble cubes haven't been fully installed, and a ton of other things at street level are just being put together.

the curved section though is destined for glory!

Shangri-la
Taken yesterday,

All good things come to an end... the white blinds strike back!

On a positive note, interesting geometry:

Shangri-La sure is a beauty. I like the shape, height and overall look of it.

Shangri-la's height is perfect in the sense that it matches up the heights of Bay Adelaide and the Ritz, although it being 250m wouldn't have hurt at all considering what's basically next to on the skyline it is FCP

it's location on the skyline from the north/south was also critical, bridging the gap from the CBD to the Ritz/RBC/CN Tower area....

2 photos of L tower from yesterday:

for me, the Dubai is more about just that wall of construction, basically mass production, i mean, 3 buildings being built right next to each other in an area that was built less than 5 years ago! mind blown!

more L tower from yesterday:

Last of the photos from yesterday:

Half the tower now has them installed so I don't see why they wouldn't continue with the rest. In any case,

The database has Trump as complete

Aura lower half is a mess and will remain as such long after the residents have moved in. It shouldn't look bad at all in skyline views however ,IMHO, it is a massive failure from the Torontonians point of view.

Oh wow, I hadn't noticed that they had already started installing them on the rest of the tower. I kept looking at the dome hoping and expecting the mullions to come down from the top and completely missed that they've started at the bottom.
