Archdaily posted a ton of renders of this building. It looks incredible. If you ask me, this is what One World Trade Center should of looked like. Despite being in China, this building carries the essence of New York more then anything else built in a long time. Hell, the building itself looks like 70 Pine Street is 70 Pine was clad in glass.

^ We all share the same opinion on this (see previous page(s)). This tower just screams NY, would have been epic to see it being built in Lower Manhattan. 1WTC is just tiny compared to this. And don't get me started on that spire...

I've always loved the design, and those new renders are just fantastic. It's very modern, but kinda has an old 30's NY art deco feel to it. It's brilliant!

Since we all agree that this tower would have looked great in NYC, I went ahead and did the logical thing:

those renders depict a building that will be absolutely superb. A latter-day ESB.

It's not so much the tower that's the problem (although it's not exactly beautiful), but the site plan.

This should have been in NY, no doubt about it. It's a simple, elegant design, a proud structure. The mockup above should be reality.

The only thing I could crit is that it's not in NY, and that the spire is a little short.

Does anyone have a very large forklift and a 2,000 ft boat to move this to NYC? Oh, while you're at it can we get another forklift and boat to move 1WTC somewhere else?

You know, China has a pretty good deal of massive skyscrapers, they don't need WTC1, just stick this where the WTC2 was gonna go

Noooo WTC2 is my favourite! Put this.. maybe slightly north of the WTC. Just a few blocks.

A brother from another mother better rise in East Midtown on account of the rezoning. NYC needs a tower similar to this.
