Are the houses in Halifax's mid to outer suburbs any better than those in Scarborough, North York or Etobicoke? I wouldn't know as when I lived in Halifax I rarely ventured off the peninsula.

I'd say the biggest difference I notice between the suburbs is that in Toronto most of the houses are all or partially brick, while in NS, brick is very uncommon and only occasionally used for trim. I always marvel at how unusual it looks to my eye to see entire swaths of houses in Mississauga and Brampton that are nothing but brick. Although I'm not sure if the houses in the 416 suburbs are as brick as the 905 houses.

416 is central, 905 is the 'burbs. You still see a lot of bricks in the suburbs, but fake plastic siding is far more common.

The 416 includes Etobicoke, Scarborough and North York.

^That part of Toronto has kind of a futuristic look. Flying cars would almost not look out of place in those pictures.

I love the first picture more. In the second, I wish they'd use glass that was just a little more blue and a little less green. The building in the foreground on the right looks just right in that same shot.

EDIT: Totally forgot to saw first: LOVE that area. I'm not a huge fan of many styles of modern architecture, but I love just about anything in glass.

Interesting shot.

I would argue that Montreal's most flattering angles are from the east (Jacques Cartier Bridge, Longueuil along highway 132 etc) and least flattering angles are from the south (Victoria Bridge, Peel Bassin)
