Its only got the "major" Canadian cities and centres though. There are more maps too which are really neat to look at.

I agree there have been tons more housing starts in the last several years alone..there is not enough supply to meet demand here yet. I know tons of families who want new homes but can't get them because they don't exist or they have to reserve them well in advance and live elsewhere in the meantime. There could easily be more housing starts, but there aren't. Its important, and I know many on here do not like sprawl; I don't entirely either, but there is a balance and some of that type of development needs to made. Most modern families (seem to) prefer suburban living.
But it still pales in comparison to Calgary or Edmonton...I mean look at Calgary's red dots...unreal! Puts into perspective how much of a boom it really was! What Winnipeg is going through now, is nothing like what happened in Alberta. And they are still growing faster than Winnipeg right now, even after slowing down a lot themselves. The housing market generally has more potential in Winnipeg, largely due to demand being consistently underestimated.

Let's not hate on other cities now...saying "top 3 worst" is just immature. "Worst" is a very subjective term. Calgary certainly doesn't have as many homicides as Winnipeg does this year (or any other year), not even close. That could be viewed with a different POV for what the term "worst" could define.
For the record, travelling in general in Calgary (if one understands and comprehends directions that is) is
much much more simple than Winnipeg, any time. Grid systems are much easier to navigate, once understood. I have yet to come across anything like confusion corner...
And better city planning arguably exists in both Edmonton & Calgary than Winnipeg too. That doesn't mean Winnipeg is bad or anything, its just the way it is. Those are newer cities. They have been able to plan for different considerations. They've made different choices (LRT comes to mind..which they built when both were smaller than Winnipeg at the time!) Winnipeg is an older city, and, was 13 smaller cities at one time that all built up their areas in their own ways first then connected everything together. But that is what adds to Winnipeg's charm. There are actual street names in Peg. No "13th ave NW" or any of that stuff. Its "Isabel" or "Rouge" or whatever. Its awesome.
For me, I am happy Winnipeg is so different from Calgary & Edmonton. It can't be directly compared to the two as a result since it has its own charms and deep (and imo richer) history.
But no need to knock on other cities. I also live in Calgary, and there is a lot to love about that city. I love going to Edmonton and spending weekends there. They are both great places.
