My brother lives in St-Lambert and has somewhat of a similar view. It's a great place to live and has easy access to downtown.

Most of L tower's parking is in Backstage so my guess would be for that.

It looks like a government/escort/military vessel !

Sorry, I don't know why that on in particular was in - but it's normal to have ships from many nations in St. John's Harbour. I don't think you could ever go down there and find only Canadian ships. The Port Authority might have more information - I'll check around.

Greek ones, in particular, are quite common. The Greek shipping barons control an obscene percentage of the world's ships. Then you have the Russians, the Portuguese, the South American countries, Scandinavia, etc.

Me too. That pre-boom skyline is still burnt into my mind. Every time I happen upon our new big towers I have to remind myself that they're not just renderings and wishful thinking, but have actually been built and aren't going anywhere.

I love that in the '70s we had all our major towers clumped around a single intersection, then nothing of comparable height anywhere else. Super density, then just empty space...

Even today the skyline has a very dense core, but at least now the love is being spread around a bit.

You have been spoiled Caltrane. Truth is even the 70's skyline is one that most NA cities would be envious of. You should be proud of what you have, because it is really spectacular.

There is something pretty cool about Toronto's core... I always thought it was pretty standard but now that I've been thinking about it... there are few if any cores similar to it in the world. the 4 tallest buildings all right next to each other, no setbacks from the street (except for the black TD buildings)... just like an insane dominating chasm. It is pretty cool. And now as Ramako said, the love is getting spread out, the skyline will just get better as it is much more spread out in a New York/Chicago style kinda thing.
