So is Winnipeg next to jump on the arena development bandwagon?

MLSE has seemed to make a killing on there project so no surprise other owners are jumping on the trend.

Edmonton with their new area will most likely be the cherry on top though since they are planning a whole district not just a few in-fills.

We already are.......http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=197745

It isn't a new tallest but is being done by the group who owns the Jets (TNSE). They have also secured a the rights to develop another large empty lot kitty-corner to the MTS Centre. This is proposed to be a high rise condo/office/hotel development. We haven't seen any renders yet but it sounds promising.

Are you sure about that? This was posted in today's Financial Post:

Cadillac’s Montreal project, known as the Tour Avenue des Canadiens, would be among the three highest in the city, topping out at an estimated 197-metres and with a construction cost projected at more than $160-million. Under municipal rules, no building in Montreal can be higher than Mount Royal at 232.5-metres.

The first 14 storeys of the Montreal tower will house a bar, a restaurant, a fitness centre, interior parking for 400 vehicles and a sky lobby to access the condos above, according to a project description filed with the city. Above that will be 47 storeys for 700 private residences although a hotel may be added that would reduce the condo count.

Wow that's going up fast! Didn't they just fence it up like 5 days ago?

First Parliament Tower in Toronto was officially cancelled? When did that happen?

The city passed the motion to expropriate the land from the developer to build a library on the site.

The city did a land swap for the block they owned beside it. I expect something to pop up there soon.

I don't think asking for one like that will really motive someone to make one.
Also, anyone can make a building drawing. So perhaps you can look into how to make one yourself = problem solved.

Yeah, thanks for the big tip. I've made a lot of drawings. Obviously would have made one for Man2 ages ago if it didn't require a bit more advanced techniques.

Don't be so cranky. If you want a diagram of a certain building, the way to get it is not to demand it from someone who does it in their spare time.

I didn't demand anything. It's going to be the new tallest building in one of our major cities. Find it kind of strange that after a year there still isn't a drawing yet.

Peter Clews of AA has been selected to design the Signature Tower for the Cityplace Development.

No further details, and this is still rumour yet to be confirmed.

Last we heard of this project, the RAW design had been rejected.

http://yourfuturerealtor.com

guessing it will be between 65 and 75 floors.

Rumours surface of new giant skyscraper in Toronto
Garry Marr Jul 18, 2012 – 5:04 PM ET | Last Updated: Jul 19, 2012 12:56 PM ET

Oxford Properties Group hasn’t even filled up the tower it’s already building in Toronto’s downtown core but talk is turning to whether the real estate company is planning another giant skyscraper.
http://business.financialpost.com/2012/07/18/rumours-surface-of-new-giant-skyscraper-in-toronto/

When I first saw this headline I thought it was something we hadn't heard of yet, but it looks like Oxford may be closer to moving ahead on 100 Adelaide then we initially thought.

That's interesting about the Cityplace proposal. Sooo... the design (picture) you posted isn't going to be the one that was selected?

I was just wondering... what ever happened to those twisting beer can towers in Sault Ste. Marie that were proposed last year?

Basically after the proposal was sent to the city, the city told them to redo the site plan to accommodate the necessary amount of parking spaces as in the by-law which is two parking spaces for every unit (which is stupid for a downtown area). The developers redid the site plan and a few months later it was approved with the demolition of the brewery suppose to happen last fall then the construction of a sales centre. But nothing happened since it was approved. I don't know if it's taking a long time or if it has been cancelled because there has been no word about it since September of last year.
