Canadian skylines of the past

Old Montreal and downtown in 1963. Virtually everything in this picture is still intact.

Awesome thread idea!

And Calgary is the most impressive skyline in terms of change. Definition of a boom town.

Amazing to think before the oil boom...how much Alberta has changed.

Hamilton: I picked these out of the "Old Pics of Hamilton" thread here: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=151765 I guess they don't really count as skyline shots per se but Hamilton doesn't really have a traditional skyline like most other cities.

It's a reversed image? In the picture Commerce Court is on th left of FCP......right?

I'm guessing that Cummer ice and coal changed it's name since?
