Considering the Sears building's proximity and context with the Vancouver 2010 Olympics prime celebration site, I was inspired to produce a new facade that takes inspiration from the wooden slats podium design. On top of that, being at the core of the city, the exterior reflects the heritage of the city as a lumber mill site. I can also imagine some of the neat projections that can be shot at the building from an angle. Additionally, perhaps the inclusion of long, slender horizontal recessed windows on some of the sides would be a neat feature as well. Would give it an almost "birch bark" appearance. lol

Excuse the crude sketch, but this is sort of along the lines of what I was thinking:
