I got word this morning that the last piece of the west main support arch has been put in place. I'm not going to be in the city 2day so can someone post some new pics please?

Now, what are chances that Calgary will follow suit. McMahon is a dump and an absolute disgrace to a city of almost 1.3 million. The concession area is what you would expect in a 3rd world country.

Didn't someone say that those wavy wings will fly off when it gets windy. Didn't we just have a bad storm with strong winds just the other day?

At the very least, the new stadium will be used more often than CanadInns, now that the Bisons will use it as well, rather than the standard 9 home games every year for the Bombers.

And it will help in attracting more concerts, where as the old Stadium had a hard time of getting them here.

They should do Monster Jam while the dirt is still in the lower bowel lol.

It is also the reason why Winnipeg gets to host some of the Women's World Cup in 2015. Granted it will probably only be 3 or 4 games, but it will put the stadium and city on display to the world.

A canard wing depending on the weight of the load and the surface area of the wing will begin to rotate (lift in to flight) when there is sufficient air crossing the surface area. You give me the weight and dimensions, I'll calculate the take-off speed.

If you remember Kyle Petty flew a NASCAR Chevvy down the main straightaway, when his car got enough air under the roof/hood/trunk panels when he was bumped from behind. He ended up going ass over tea-kettle down the straight and ended up in the mid-field on his lid. Nascar later on required all cars to have 'blow-out panels installed in the roof. Maybe you will see this added to the stadium roof.

Since you're the one making the ridiculous suggestion that the engineers involved in the stadium haven't done these calculations, why don't you get the weight and dimensions then determine how many hundreds of km/hr the wind speed needs to be.

NASCAR Chevy's usually aren't anchored into the ground in multiple locations. Make sure you include that in your calculations, of course.

I think, that logic is the same as when a farmer justifies a half million dollar combine sitting in his shed for 50 weeks a year.

Investors Group Field Construction Webcam has been down for about 2 weeks now.

anyone here knows why?
