Any idea what is going on the south side of the Regent Costco lot? I see that they have a large section fenced off and a Graham construction site office there.

I am thinking that it could be a Costco gas bar but have not been able to find anything on line about them putting one in this location.

Go to report #5 for the renderings that were presented to the city committee.
Thanks! Hard to get a sense of the atmosphere this will create. But hopefully it will add a unique feel!

I'd rather prefer Laser Squares.

I am not sure it would be classified as "weird"...

Sunpoint Condos in Sturgeon Creek right beside Superstore on Portage Ave. This was built really fast compared to other condos like BGBX. IMO its looks good and affordable.

They're going to apparently do the same to the 1960s/1970s housing on the other side of the road. They're already kicking people out of it and fencing it off.

Also, the Credit Union and new Portage/Rouge stripmall is growing rather fast. Havent seen this much construction in St. James since either the growth of St. James Street (2001-2006) or the retirement housing across from the Grace (2005). Same with the new apartments or condos on Westwood.

Buddy of mine noticed construction fencing around Assiniboine/Kennedy. Anybody know what's up? Might have the location wrong ...

That is an empty lot right now, i have heard some rumours about potential redevelopment there but nothing for sure. Very, very prime piece of land. Sounds interesting......unless he meant Smith St and Assiniboine, in which case that would be the 25 storey Heritage Landing project.

I was by there on Monday and noticed they had cut the grass and placed wooden stakes throughout the lot. no fencing, but maybe it went up since then.
