They remind me of Atlanta.

I admit though, 5West in Calgary is pretty bad. The spandrel is far more garish than that on the North York development.

I had a quick look and, unsurprisingly, the brick side is in the middle of the block.

Another building (buildings) that irk me are the Tours Lépine on de Maisonneuve between Drummond and Stanley. So so from ground level, not great from a distance.

Concordia's McConnell Library Building is horrible as well. Also on De Maisonneuve (between Mackay and Bishop).

I actually like the Mc Connell building. It beats anything in the immediate vicinity. The interior lobby is nicely done too. Airy with a lot of natural light - a contrast to the lobby across the street.

Speaking of ugly buildings in the Plateau - it doesn't get worse than this thing on the corner of St Laurant and Pins.
