I can't think of another North American City in my lifetime, that has ever exploded with this many cranes... at one time. Ever...

Maybe Miami?? - Even at it's construction height, it wasn't churning them out like this.

I took these exact same photos when i was there from Saturday to sunday....just up the hill a bit more. Edmonton is looking really nice. The condo area just seems to go on and on......

It seems as though there's a disproportionately high number of gay men on Urban Toronto too. So what is it with gay men and architecture/development/skyscrapers (obvious allusions to phallic symbolism aside)? Perhaps Richard Florida might have something to say about it.

And where are all the women at anyway?

This isn't surprising, considering the migration patterns of LGBT people seems to be much more prevalent toward urbanism, compared to their heterosexual counterparts.

Towns and villages barely offer a selection of sexual partners for straight people; for gays, it is a fuckin nightmare.

I somewhat agree. I sure do enjoy the evergreen trees in Edmonton, though! It helps bring colour to the city, even during the winter months.

When I was in planning school there one student that was convinced he had some sort of advantage being a gay planner. When we actually counted it out, gay males, including myself made up nearly half of the program. We outnumbered those in musical theatre by 1

Outnumbering musical theatre gays is quite an accomplishment. It's as though urban planning is the new interior design.
