A public art project will be taking place on the light post's along Cooper's Park. The lamps will be painted to mark the previous height of False Creek and what could be the future with global warming.
Really confused how it will mark the previous height and what could be the future height. Are we now saying that sea levels were higher then they are now? I could understand if it said it would mark where the previous coast line was, but height doesn't make much sense.

If the bugs don't kill you, the boredom might.

With internet access, you can torrent all the hit films and TV shows you've been otherwise too busy to watch.

This slab looks like it has fallen off the main post office on the Hamilton side at least 2 weeks ago. The sidewalk is cordoned off.

Whoa, I used that sidewalk regularly for many years. It reminds me of that poor woman in Montreal a few years back.

Last I heard that site was intended to become a Medical-oriented Complex, including office and academic space. I feel like I've seen renders, but I forget where. There was a development application board on the Malkin side of the site for a while, but that has since been removed. I've never been able to find any info from the city on the current status of the site, other than it being privately owned by Providence

Just walked past the Robson/Burrard location (the old HMV/Virgin)-- construction has begun. The first floor will open into the CTV atrium. I asked a construction worker a few questions and she said "its all hush hush -- can't say anything -- we are on an accelerated schedule."

The renos to the street level Cordova side of the Renaissance hotel are starting to look quite good. Vast improvement over the original fascade, think it's going to be a tough location for retail though.
