They did certainly cut a monolithic figure when they stood on their own, but I'm personally a fan density. Now when you see the central core standing as a backdrop behind layers of condo towers and smaller office towers, it gives you a sense of just how big they are in comparison, and furthermore, makes the city itself seem much larger.
