@SpongeG: sorry man, but those look too Taipeiesque for me.

@Hed Kandi: More appropriate for Vancouver perhaps, but only when the city gets much bigger than it is now.

You would be referring to the Peter Hemingway Centre designed by award winning architect, Peter Hemingway.

Some of the smaller designs might work for concert halls, theatres, and so forth. However the big, fluted / chiseled buildings are too "Jetsons" for me.

just an opinion, that's all

Hed, I really go for the first two of the five. #3 I find ugly and a bit bizarre, #4 seems colourful, airy, and upbeat. #5 is kind of a strange light sculpture, rather "special effex" in character, suitable for somewhere perhaps, but not the CBD or West End.

Hey yeah!! Totally!! It would "fill out" the CBD, and take away that 'drop-off' effect east of Seymour! (just keep that sleek design !!!!!)

It's pretty, but it's also surrounded by a surface parking lot.

I'm sure that the Vancouver iteration would be devoid of any parking lots.
