Last week I found myself on a work trip to Sicily. I had one night in Palermo, the island's largest city, and a bit of time to walk around the centre.
Palermo was a nice surprise. It's dirty, gritty and filled with motorcycle exhaust, but there's a certain enjoyable insouciance. Plus it's cheap and there's good coffee everywhere.
All of these photos were taken on a Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Most of my time in Sicily was spent in the countryside, where I had some business with a certain well-known organization. They gave me a pretty sweet ride.
Fantastic photos! I found Palermo to be a pleasant surprise as well when I was there two months ago. The food, particularly the pastries, was some of the best I've ever had.

Very nice people shots. I see many motorbikes or scooters in the streets, something similar in Spain. Much life in the streets. Your shots in the countryside are very nice too, like the BMW.
Is that an 'urban meadow' I see? I didn't expect to see that in Italy.
It was a garbage-strewn vacant lot, though the tall grass disguised most of the rubbish. I guess a Mediterranean climate makes even urban blight look picturesque.
solid set, trout. totally solid set. was gonna comment about how nice the big street wall shots with the mountains in the backdrop were, but then i saw the pics of the beamer and all i can think is F U, BUDDY.
