Also note that in that photo the CN Tower is lit up in gold and purple for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, for which Prince Charles was in town. It was a doubly royal day.

Wow, best T.O skyline pic in years. What building was that taken from?. In that image where I live looks like it's on the edge of a forest to a huge city. It is.
I'm not sure if it was taken from a building, it's the same view as seen from Broadview Ave. looking across Riverdale park and the Don Valley, but it looks like it might be from up higher?

I'll add one to the Peg skyline shots; a bit of a different angle.
It's amazing that you can take a picture of a city's skyline and within as little as half a year it becomes noticeably out of date. I was looking through pictures I took last summer on a trip to the islands and it was amazing how much was missing from it compared to now.
I wonder when the point when you can get a "completed" picture of Toronto will be. 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?
