Looks like Suzy Sheer in Portage Place is relocating to the second level. Its currently located in the lower level corner next to the former McNally space.

Interesting move considering the lower level has more foot traffic and no vacancies compared to a number of vacancies on the second level. Someone had mentioned McNally being converted to offices, possibly needed more space thus the relocation?

interesting spot. Close to Waterfront and the Museums and such. Hope to see that part of the Exchange do great once all of the empty lots are filled up.

It's so nice to see both parts of the Exchange, Downtown, The Forks, all doing so well. Can't wait for everything to be vibrant and interconnected.

Word on the street has it that the HMV store at the St. Vital Mall which is currently under construction/renovations will be turning into an H&M. Don't know how credible this is though.

See Post #618.

Pearle Vision has already moved. I wouldn't be surprised if West 49 were to moved to.
Looking at other H&M location they will a foot-print of around 15,000 sq ft

HMV - 4200
Pearle Vision - 3000
West 49 - 4500

I heard this from people that actually work in the mall, and they also say that it will be a "smaller" H&M. As much as I would like to believe this, I will only believe it when I see it.

I am not terribly interested in H&M.

Wandered through the ones in Calgary a number of times but never bought anything. I found their mens wear too cheaply made and overly trendy. Much like something you might buy at Le Chateau.

I am looking forward to having Banana Republic opening in Polo Park soon.

its cheap fast fun fashion

the only thing i have bought there is socks, earrings and slippers

the clothes I find fit too small and they are only built to last the trend

what they do have going for them is hiring the worlds top models and all the billboards - hello dario werbowy looking down on my waiting for the skytrain

H&M is great. I practically buy a suitcase full of H&M clothes every year. It looks good, it fits good and the quality is great imo. Not sure if you oldies will like it.

First off, nice display picture

Second, I buy h&m when I'm in Calgary. They got nice stuff! Pricy, but nice.

You consider H&M pricey? Where do you normally shop for clothing?

I was thinking the same thing. H&M is known as the affordable fashion forward brand.

it's a fashion thing, if you don't follow fashion or enjoy it or are a fashionista... there's not much to enjoy about it - it is just a store, but it is a popular brand out there and brings along its own cache and kind of like the starbucks effect of the 90's means an area or a city has arrived now that it can have an H&M store

H&M really wants Thunder Bay to "arrive". They keep trying to force out tenants in large swaths of our mall so that they can locate there.
