Even though it hasn't changed much over the past two decades Montreal can still hold it's own. Looking good Montreal.

FAN-Tastic.

Now, all there's missing is for one of our fellow members with rudimentary photoshop skills to insert our proposed projects!

Wow this picture of Montreal is HUGE ! ... and there's even a missing part of the skyline on the right ( wich is part of Westmount )

Can't wait to see this empty space between the 1250 R-L and the CCE tower being filled by the wonderfull Icone project ... I just hope that the height of the Icone will be right between the two towers on each sides.

That's correct Franks, the skyline indeed keeps going pass the right and also includes the highrises on top of chemin de la cote-des-neiges and the Montreal General Hospital, which is a beast.

Winnipeg has many festivals throughout the year. I have only been living here full time as of 3 weeks ago so my pictures are lacking in terms of catching anything culturally significant. I do have some pics of Festival Du Voyageur (Largest French Festival west of Quebec) from this February when I visited last.

http://www.flickr.com//photos/64465801@N03/sets/72157629953924577/show/

These pictures were taken on the first day, before the Festival really began. Most of the events occur at night, and I was very busy during my trip so I could only attend the first day, and witnessed some flame throwing on my street during the night. There are events all over the city for this Festival, however the main set-up is located in St. Boniface Western Canada's largest Francophone Neighbourhood (and after some research following a debate it is confirmed as the largest francophone neighbourhood per capita outside of Quebec).

Just to show how insane and drastic the changes have been in the last few years, here's a photo of Southcore and the Toronto skyline from a Lakeshore condo in 2007:

EDIT: Holy crap that picture is huge, here's the link.
credit goes to cloutsman on r/toronto.
