I think the Burrard gateway is a beautiful design, hardly suburban.

Most of the towers in Yaletown and Coal Harbour look more suburban than Metroplace, Sovereign, Jewel, and Holland Point... among quite a few others...

They are excavating at a good pace - must be 3 or 4 floors down by now.

It looked like they were pouring concrete this morning at the site as well as a portable crane with moldings at the site this morning. No crane yet.

Looks like that is the first level. I'm pretty sure it is. But they should be finished the second level by next week.

I think it's progressing nicely considering the large and deep footprint of the site. Also it has pretty much caught up to Sovereign despite starting construction quite a few months later.

Well Sovereign does have a mammoth floor plate.

It's not smog, its forest fire smoke from Colorado and Siberia! But great pic. I love the contrast between this thing and the 'old' neighbourhood around it. Gonna be exciting to see it all transform.
