They will no doubt be testing both train types due to their slightly different characteristics (U2s are DC traction, SD 160 are AC traction).

There are four kinds of LRVs right now. Standard U2 (fleet # 20xx), AC U2 (2101, 2102), SD160 (22xx), SD-Calgary (I think that's what they are called; 23xx)
When the LRVs that will get ordered this year (hopefully) for the ability to run 4 car trains start arriving, we will have 5 types of cars, essentially all incompatible with one another. They will also very likely not be made by Siemens.
