We really need a couple good Edmontonians and Ottawans to start making some gods darn DIAGRAMS on those cities skyscraper pages!!!

So many proposals in Edmonton don't have diagrams and Ottawa's two tallest don't... and now with the Claridge proposal... Ottawa's three tallest don't have diagrams!! Come on guys!

It's about time that Ottawa get's some height added to their already dense but not high skyline. You'd never know that Ottawa and Calgary are about the same size population wise by comparing their skylines. Hope this goes through.

The Ottawa proposal is the baby of these two:

Dallas - Museum Tower

Boston - Federal Reserve Plaza

An interesting new aerial image, showing the scale of Skye Halifax:

Like the Halifax proposal. But wondering if it might be a little out of scale for the area. Like to see the taller stuff in Calgary & Edmonton.

Here's an update rendering I threw together. It indicates some of the other buildings that have been built since the photo was taken and buildings that will be built:

The Nova Centre office tower/hotel development has already been approved a couple of blocks up from the Skye site.

It's also important to point out that the rendering provided only shows a small part of the downtown area and the city. Purdy's Wharf, one of the larger office developments, is not pictured, nor is Fenwick, which is the tallest building in the city. This aerial shows a lot more:

I think the twin towers fit in just fine. Halifax's skyline lacks iconic highrises, so this would put an interesting focus on an already dense, but ultimately boring skyline. I hope it gets built.

The cornices and projected overhang might make up for that. The building is very narrow on the east and can't afford much of a setback.

The proposed towers are almost twice as tall as anything in downtown Halifax, but the aerials don't show this very well. In terms of height they really don't fit in, but you could to liken them to the WTC twin towers.

480 University Avenue at the NW corner of Dundas & U has a proposal for a residential addition to the top of this existing office tower. A future trend in Toronto perhaps? (eg 155 Cumberland)

Some ppl can't imagine what it could look like....well I can.

Check out this new proposal for a very prominent corner in downtown Edmonton.

What an abomination for one of the most prominent DT corners in this city.

Procura dropped the ball on this one.

I think that'd be a compliment to Procura with the absolute — they're putting out lately.

I hope this Halifax version of the twin towers get built.
I thought nothing was alowed to block the view of the harbour from the citadel in Halifax ?
