Thanks guys. EdmTrekker, I know a guy who knows a guy And speaking of which, looks like we may be getting on 2 high-profile roofs in the next few weeks, stay tuned!

These are from the boiler room of the Empire building. Tucked away in the far corner is the original lease sign.

The Empire building is a higher quality example of the architecture that the currently-being-demolished BOM represents, yes?

I'm no expert on the subject but I would say they are pretty comparable.

I can say that the current owner(s) of the Empire have put a lot of money into it, from the new outside signage and tilework in front of the Starbucks entrance to many little details inside the building. The interior common area are very nicely done. Most buildings will have a painting or two in each floors elevator lobby, the Empire has beautiful art prints hanging up and down every hall on every floor, and really cool art nouveau signage marking the washrooms and other common facilities.
