Does Violet Crown Cinema have like some type of mini-event for emerging filmmakers? Because that would be awesome. I'm gonna hit you up when I finish my movie here in San Francisco and see if I can screen it there.

I don't know what the rules on that are, so I just put it in the Austin forum.

Personally I kind of like it being in the Austin forum. I think all of y'all, the Austin forum members, are awesome. =) But I guess it would also be nice to get more outside Austin input as well.
This thread has gotten huge and we are getting a brand new wave of big projects. It would be great if we had a new thread for 2012 and beyond. What you have started for projects is excellent. Maybe you could just start a new thread in the City Compilations section and we could get a Mod to retire the old (current) thread.

Mr. Glass, where are you to comment on this??? Migol?

We're on the same page Michael....I've heard 2nd street is in the works for a 24 hour diner.
That would be great to have another 24 hr dinner on 2nd.

We don't officially, but we do have special screenings about once a month for Texas film makers...we also always play indie/doc films.

Is this thread retired?

Can we/have we agreed to retire this thread and direct our attention instead to projects and construction III? For the sake of simplicity I think this is a prudent move my fellow forum contributors.

To you Mr. Healy and your concern for Austin Java, I say let it burn. I know that you and I worked there together and had joyous times, but I have no love for that restaurant and wouldn't lament its passing.

To the newly unearthed rendering of 311 Bowie, I am suspicious that the tree as it appears in the drawing is in fact the 70 year old pecan tree. If you go visit the tree, as I have, it stands almost exactly in the middle in the parcel rather than near the creek as depicted in the image. I could be wrong and often am though.

Are there any Mods out there who can close this thread so we can move on?

Maybe we could start some city vs city — and get this thread shutdown real quick.

So when do ya'll think Austin will pass San Antonio is population? We already have the better jobs, higher GCP, more expensive real estate. Will there be a time when the Spurs make the move to Austin when it's obvious San Antonio is the subservient of the two cities?

People from San Antonio are welcome to respond.... if they are one of the few who have internet access.

spurs —? 4 titles, 14 straight playoff trips, one of the best franchises in all of sorts, one of the greatest coaches of all time, one of the greatest power forwards of all time, the greatest french basketball player of all time, the greatest argentinian basketball player of all time, 2 of 11 game win streaks this season, currently riding a 9 game winning streak...... and somehow they "—"? Explain please.

This thread is beyond 10,000 posts, and since BevoLJ was cool enough to start a new one, let's go ahead and close this old one.
