I wasn't able to find pictures of the interior of the Public Gardens covered skating rink but a 1880's photo from the NS Archives showed people skating at the old Royal Exhibition Hall on Tower Road. Both structures could be seen in one old photo.
I think it would be great to have the Public Gardens open all year long. Perhaps it just needs to be closed for a month or so for maintenance.

What an amazing building the Royal Exhibition Hall was. I wonder how it met its demise?
