The end looks narrow in twism's shot because the building has an angled side on that end.

I'm glad the buildings in Brewery District are massive. Sapperton is such wasted potential given it's central location, access to amenities (Schools, Hospital, Parks), and Transit. For a long time one of the reasons contributing to this has been the notion that Sapperton is a "village" and that larger developments shouldn't happen along Columbia there. Hopefully, Brewery District drives some development and densification there.
i thought translink was in the office space above thrifty foods?
The space above Thrifty is already occupied with strata medical offices. I believe Translink intends to move in to the building currently u/c sometime in 2013.
Was the first residential tower built by a developer that owned the entire area and then went under and sold it? I always wondered. I know the old commericial building on the corner had been there forever.
Makes you wish they had built the SkyTrain station directly over Brunette so it'd be a little easier to access... anyone know if they're going to rebuild the convoluted entrance plaza to the station?
From TransLink's document, the building would have 8 floors and 230,000 square feet, with 3 levels of underground parking. TransLink will occupy P3, P1, L1 (lobby), L2 - L7, or 195,000 square feet of it.

Browns Socialhouse will be opening a new restaurant at the Brewery District project in Sapperton.

The new restaurant will be located on East Columbia Street on the ground floor of the newly constructed, mixed-use building and will feature 93 seats inside and 56 seats outside on the open air patio, which will feature a fire pit and comfy couches for an eclectic lounge feeling.
The new Browns Socialhouse at Brewery District is expected to open in mid-2013.
