I liked Kevin's idea of using the Google Doc and taking a screenshot, but you can't put a link in a jpg which is something I really like about many of the other threads.
Also, I LOVE that picture of Austin in the clouds. =) It is wonderful. I saw it on DAB. It is really cool.

There is a new VMU project announced for East Central near Plaza Saltillo. There is only a small clip of it in the Austin Business Journal but it sounds to be a pretty big project.

it does seem pretty big. "Corazon" and something else. I am excited for this to pick up off the ground.
Is there a rendering of that project by Saltillo? I think that area would be perfect for like a Little Mexico area. Nice buildings in the classic kind of colonial style from 4-7 stories or so with ground floor retail, then give a small price reduction for those people that would live there and then take the train to work into dt.

When I was an undergraduate at The University, there was always at least one morning a year when you could go up to the observation deck on the Tower (no security in those innocent days) and follow the lakes into the Hill Country by the fog.
I had always hoped for a a nice pedestrian zone in the patch of land between E.5th and E.4th. bordered by nice local shops and venues and the plaza would be home for more food trailers but that's just a dream i guess

Yep I was there several weeks ago, also thanks migol24 for the advise on where to go in SF, the missions will definitely be worth checking out.
yeah it seems like i caused quite a stir without intending to on the san francisco thread. haha any neighborhood is worth checking out here in sf, but the mission is quite possibly the most diverse and my favorite.
