^Zellers doesn't resonate the same as what Walmart does.

Drove by Mayfair; ok I was aware the windows will be small, but man oh man what the heck are those? They look like 10cm x 10cm.....

Can anyone remind me again when they are hoping to start on Mayfair North?? I still have high hopes for this project to look good when it's fully complete.

That west wall is quite underwhelming. It really needs that NW corner phase 2 to tie it in properly.

Watching that Pearl video, I was expecting an epic war clash between orcs and horsemen!

I'm not too crazy about the brown roof cap, and the podium still screams Wal-Mart. If they just address these two issues, this will truly be spectacular.

Go visit the sales center on Jasper and 121st and take a peek at the scale model, then tell me what you think.

Walked past Mayfair today at 7:00am - those lights on the top look just great - clean and white and luminous - really looking forwards to the second phase to tie it all in.

Personally, the windows don't bother me - I'm happy to see that the subtle but consistent goodies are being applied as they are, and despite earlier comments I have little critique for the materials used. Good work all around imho!

The two boarded up 3 story walk-ups at Jasper & 85th just east of the River Ridge condo have been sold, and they were in there today hauling all the appliances out out of them. I believe there was a DC2 application for the site some time back. Hopefully those eyesores are gone soon and we see an interesting proposal for the site.

Commonwealth stadium is going green, literally. Expect to see that or a similar headline. The stadium will start to replace its seats this year and will be complete in 2014. All of the red and orange seats will be replaced with wider green seats. Wide enough that each row will have 3 fewer seats. Which will significantly reduce the stadium's capacity. (about 10-12 thousand). IMO they probably could have thought it out a bit better. Going from a 60,000 seat stadium to possibly a 48,000 seat stadium may create less interest for certain events. It makes sense to reduce the number of seats per row as each row has an odd number of seats. But why 3, why not one? I kind of like that our stadium is/was the largest (if not to consider the big owe).

there are 80 rows (40 per section) and not sure how many sections - maybe 60.
