As i mentioned in earlier posts, i have a friend that used to work for Harvard and said they are building an FCC tower 2 and have that almost leased. An earlier post by someone said it could be 28 floors. He didnt say anything at all about a tower that tall to me. He told me to expect tower cranes up downtown for the next 10 years. Im guessing harvard will be adding alot more office space.

Has this tower reached it's hieght, or are they still adding more floors? It seems to me that it's been stuck at the current height for 3 or 4 weeks.

She's topped-out (except for the angled slice/sash/drape thing). They reduced the floor count by two. Mark my words, 1855 Rose Street will now certainly bury Tower III! One day though, there will be a tower that'll poke head 'n shoulders above everything.

How do you think that is possible when tower 3 is 20 floors and 1855 is going to be 16 floors?

More space between floors for 1855 Rose. I doubt you will see tower III from Vic east when 1855 is built. Floor count means nothing.

If you look at the diagrams page, you will find that based on the current height of tower III relative to tower I and the height of 1855 Rose, tower III and 1855 Rose will be about the same. The current rendering of tower III in the diagrams page is not correct since the building was lowered by 2 floors.

^^ I was just making the point that a 16 story commercial building will not "bury" a 20 story office building. Obviously floor heights can differ but even if the building heights are close (tower 3 vs 1855 rose), regardless of floor counts, 1855 will not "bury" Tower III.

I guess "obscure" would be a better word than "bury". I am curious though how Harvard says this building will be the tallest office building in the province when it is clearly shorter than Harvard I.

Floor count means nothing. Look-up Gulf Canada Square in Calgary - it's 20 storeys @ 70.1 metres. 1855 Rose is 16 storeys @ 73.5 metres. Floor count means nothing. Hell the CN Tower probably had only 10 floors! (Even though it's not an actual 'building.')

I agree, I dunno why Harvard needed to throw the 'tallest building' line in there - even if the penthouse pokes above the twins, it's a pretty sad way to grab the title, although technically it would hold it.

Lets all hope either FCC II or Hill Tower IV will be substantially taller so there is no dispute what so ever as to which building is the tallest.
