so far the only building going up in the area is a single (18-20?) floor condo tower, the rest of the buildings in the rendering border on sci-fi, Montreal the hot air capital of Canada, oh I forgot there's also a massive 8 storey building going up on Mountain (my bad)

I'm predicting that not even a quarter of the buildings proposed for griffintown and nouveau havre will ever see the light of day, and the Waldorf will finally be built by 2037, can't wait to see what a scaled down horror show Cadillac comes up with in the next couple months

well let's see the super hospitals are only about 15 years behind schedule and will end up costing over 300% more than the initial estimates. they wasted about 5 years and millions of dollars on studies on where to put the CHUM.... and ended up on the first choice (brilliant)The Seville laided abandoned for over 20 years until money bags Bronfman finally decided to build something ,probably after getting slapped on the head by auntie Phyllis

So in other words, you'll never be happy. You'll whine if something isn't being built yet still whine while it's under construction and continue to whine after it's built. Then you'll immediately start whining about each and every new proposal and whine about.. REPEAT-REPEAT-REPEAT...

I did a search for it on Industry Canada's database

The names of the directors were familiar to me. They are the directors of Isanco.

They are behind a project in Longueuil that never got off the ground. They are also behind the 215 Redfern project in Westmount, which is currently undergoing site preparations. (Like Tour Union, 215 Redfern is also by architect Karl Fischer).

To be honest, people are more obessed with height on this forum. Just look at the Canada forum for Chirst sake! I've read many times (sometimes between the lines) Montreal becoming the 3rd, 4th.. city in Canada because we didn't build anything tall since 1992 and blablabla...

It's not the obsession with tall buildings that's most annoying, it's the delusional attitude people in Canada have that they're living in a world class cities . People let me be blunt - Canada does not have a world class city in the league of NY Paris London HK Tokyo... and never will,I remember the first time I visited New York I came back thinking I live in a hick village, and as far as the people of Toronto comparing their city with NY, that's beyond laughable. Getting back to the topic, Montreal doesn't need tall buildings it needs to get rid of the vast number of parking lots that make large areas of downtown such an ugly eyesore, build 5-6-7 floor buildings, just get rid of those parking lots
