I still have hope for the office tower. Look how great 18 York PWC turned out (the lobby is very minimal but tastefully done imo)
I know I shouldn't judge by preliminary renderings but I can't help but feel very pessimistic about these condos. At least they will be partially concealed by the sharp lookin 10 York proposal (assuming it gets built before the market correction)

Im sure the fancy renderings are coming shortly. Won't change anyone's mind, but should be interesting nonetheless.

Oh brother.. more architectural valium from aA.

You'd think buildings that will block out our real skyline would at least be vaguely interesting. (I received an infraction on UT for speaking my mind so hopefully this site will be less of a Stalinist dictatorship).

LOL yes that site is taking itself a little to seriously these days. Why I stopped posting there for the most part. Hell I used to be in the inner circle even hosting a UT party at my place one time. It used to be a fun site but those days are gone. Even the new format which is blanketed with ads kind of —.

Wow! They applied for 46 Floors, and the city gives them 50.

This bad boy will be close to 170 meters.

Not 200 meters as I wish all new proposals to be, but still, go to go at 170 meters, is fine with me.

Is Karma that skinny tower just north of College Park west of Yonge? If so making it taller is great news.

Looks like this one was originally proposed at 52 Floors, went down to 46 and then the city pushed it back up to 50 Floors.

Canada Tower is launching soon, at 54s at 70 Temperance Street and Bay Street downtown Toronto. A partnership between CentreCourt Developments and Lifetime Developments, developers of the aA-designed Karma Condos and Peter Street Condos.

That one should hit about 190 meters. I honestly thought that proposal was dead. Glad to see it moving forward, I'll check out UT for more details.

The site went into receivership, and in December 2007 it was bought by Skyline Investments. Due to Stinson's proposal, the site is already approved for a 55-storey building. Hence, once financing and plans are in place, a building can be constructed without going through the lengthy city council approval process.

Looks kind of old/dated branding, could be from an earlier proposal?

I'm guessing with a moniker like that we shouldn't be looking for a crazy design.

My guess is that they will be sticking to the design I posted in the video above. Nothing skyline changing but some decent infill on a cursed property.

So at least Skyline Developments didn't make $20 million dollars for nothing.

Reading into the UT Interview with the CentreCourt folks, I'm expecting either aA/Core/Wallman here.

I wonder if that's the branding though? CC has been awfully silent since I asked them. :p

42 Charles E/Casa2 is launching shortly. Should see renderings in early February is my guess, perhaps sooner.

So a new design; will it still incorporate the hotel and office functions?
If so the new design might still threaten the 200 meter mark. Of course I'd take the old design at 188 (m) no problem.

^Old design was appalling. But I doubt Skyline ever had the intention of building it.

I'd love to see some brick here--why does the office district just have to be all glass highrises?

Also some new huge tower is supposedly launching this quarter.

And Pinnacle hinted on twitter today that something BIG is coming to their Mississauga site.
