Bike signals? In Salt Lake City? C'est impossible ! I cannot wait for North Temple to be done with construction. We'll finally have a somewhat respectable surface-street entrance to the city from the west, as well as light rail. Fantastic.
I like that Rocky Mountain Power chipped in to upgrade the sidewalk in front of their facillity, even thought they have absolutely zero street presence along there the sidewalk will be nice.
I read in the Trib that the cars they use on the Sugar House line will indeed be the S70s that are used on Trax, but they'll be wrapped in a different color.

Part of that statement in the Trib states that "Initially" the street car line will use the new Trax trains. Implying that eventually there will be a designated street car vehicle.

I think it would look neat if they mixed colors up on the current design. Make the blue and red portions white, and the rest red.
That's good. I recall Philadelphia as being one of the more expensive destinations back east. Boston is worse though. If we could just get another airline to pick up that route... jetBlue maybe?
No transit ran today, on 2 January. It's a tad asinine to suspend service for two days straight, yeah? Denver—which, granted, is twice the size of Salt Lake—managed to run service during Christmas and on New Year's Day. Not running any service on holidays is a little questionable in and of itself, but to not run any on the day after is really puzzling. I realize that today is the "observed" New Year's Day, but that doesn't mean that everything isn't open today. Hmm. We really need to reevaluate whether the UTA receives sufficient funds for a transit agency its size, or—on the other side of the spectrum—whether the UTA is utilizing its funds well.
