Great thanks for the info. Surprised they aren't going for a flat glass run for the retail, seems like a poor design from a commercial frontage standpoint.

I just see a standard retail frontage with alcoves for the doorways. What's the unusual aspect?
It's set back a lot from Cambie - behind a set of planters - but that could be due to the future RoW requirements for the roadway (like The Rise and Canadian Tire are set back as well).

The commercial frontage won't likely be retail. This location will yield commerical uses such as dental surgeries or hair salons. There is also a significant front setback from the Cambie Street property line.

Does anybody know what's happening here? I live a couple of blocks from here and am curious about who's moving into the neighborhood. It's a large space compared to the others in the neighborhood and has a stairwell leading to a mezzanine level.

It is supposedly a new restaurant. So tells me some staff from Burgoo, so take that for what it is.

Marketing info for this project has finally been released. It is called Majestic on Main

I was a little surprised to see some of the units are quite large. Will be interesting to see how they are priced.

A couple of renders:

Thanks for the pics everyone.

That Granville & 13th Sjhoppers building seems to take cues from the CIBC across the street (if I recall correctly).

Weird that Majestic uses the "Brick" logo in its renders given that the retail space must be way too small for a Brick store. Good, though, that they added windows on the side compared to the render.

I thought that too but it could be one of their "Brick mattress store" locations that tend to be only few thousand square feet.

I'm pretty sure it's just a placeholder. They are pretty awful renderings (so I wouldn't imagine a Fido store or a Brick store there), and the retail units are quite small.

Anyone know what's going in at Marine Drive and Ontario?
Where the old Chrysler office used to be?

Canadian Tire, Save-on-Foods/PriceSmart, Marks Workwearhouse.
It was the "big box" project that was initially rejected (along with the neighbouring Wal-Mart project) under the council of the day (Campbell & COPE?).
The developer for the Canadian Tire project reapplied under the next council (Vision or NPA?) and it was passed. The developer for Wal-Mart did not reapply, but instead leased the vacant Costco location on Grandview Highway (no rezoning required).
