Not only is this a nice project, but the old Mercedes dealership near the Lincoln Tunnel is now empty and has A LOT of air rights. You know what that will entail!

In fact, this guy from the NY law firm Skadden apparently is involved in a deal:

the far West Side is going to be filled with these heinous 'experimental' architecture buildings... the Pyramid is next. eyesores on the NYC skyline only because they're so far West nothing can be built adjacent to the river to cover them up from the NJ view.

yes because everything in nyc must be conservative. and must be a box. everything on the west side must remain brown and bleak.

looking at that pic, mercedes house looks more beautiful than nearly every building in that shot. it's modern and pretty. hopefully the pyramid masks many of those shabby brown buildings on midtown's west side when complete.

Every once a while it is good to a see a building that isn't the typical bland and boring box. The bigger eyesore are those empty lots and blocks that are heavily industrial and underutilized.

I love this building. Its design would be unique in any city, and it provides an excellent contrast to everything currently in the neighborhood.

Wow this one went up fast! Another great addition to the New York skyline! I especially like the fact that it's not another cookie cutter residential high rise.

I stopped by on Friday( didn't have my camera) Just a couple floors left of cladding... This building is a great addition to the city!

Will they put trees on it like the rendering shows? This is very important, and I bet they don't do it. Stupid, fooling people into thinking that the tower will be green and eco to get good PR.
