Construction is well underway of this one, I'm actually looking at it right now from my place here's a quick update. (It's the red luffing crane in the foreground)

It's official Toronto has a depraved box fetish. It can no longer be denied.

Tis true, I think this babe is pretty sexy. It's design elements make this more distinct than the standard box though, looks like a Teeple design.

A more detailed rendering (when available) should reveal this stunner's true beauty.

I dig those last two box designs - the one for the distillery and in Montreal, too. If those designs are depraved, I got the sickness but good.

See something like that is what I would want to see done to 199 Yonge.

Procura proposal for Edmonton, looks to be 32-33 storeys on the edge of the top of bank.

Being square can be cool, depends how you do it.

Generally provides the more efficient layouts.

Well, there's certainly a difference between a classy box like 16 York/Telus House and the RAW designed pile that's proposed for the corner of Bay and Gerrard.

Boxes with patterns of tacked on balconies a la Boutique condos are the lowest common denominator. They even out cheapen Concord developments.

Nice Edmonton! I like the American style pointed roof. Not many Canadian scrapers have that.

Also really liking the Montreal infill! Keep em comin!

I really like that Edmonton proposal, I hope it gets built. Nice to see something thats not a box with wrap around balconies.

Just not the right location beside the elegant Hotel Mac IMO.
