Well, they theoretically could, but we all know how slow things open around here *glares at JapaDog*

I don't see anywhere else that there could theoretically BE a 2 to 3 floor vacant store that they could move in to right away, either.

The space is still listed by the agent for lease, usual listing agents are very quick to post leased up. Build out is usually a 90 process for anything of that size, so I doubt they will make June even July would be pushing it, unless they've been building this whole time at TV Towers behind the Novus posters, but I haven't seen anyone working there.

Only Forever 21 I know of opening up in Metro Van this year is Richmond Centre, and that may take until Jan 2011 depending on how long it takes them to outfit the store.

Has anyone walked by recently and noticed whether the finishing touches to the retail/commercial portion of the podium have been completed yet?

The A&W looks like it should open by the end of Oct, the DQ looks to be one month behind that.
I noticed they've planted a lot of climbing ivies in the alley, should take years to cover the wall but it'll put a stop to graffiti.

Though I'm not one for fast food, I do feel that these two outlets have the potential to draw much more foot traffic into the eastern end of Robson.

Photo update | November 9th 2010

The first piece of retail is open. It's far and away the nicest A&W I've ever seen.

Anyone know if occupancy has been issued for the tower and we can change the thread to completed?
