Once the renders for the Harbour Twins come out tomorrow someone should do a render of Toronto's skyline in 2020. Hopefully from an angle that doesn't —

Looking forward to the renderings, Cal.

I was going to go down there in the morning and snap a few pics before school today, but eventually decided not to because I assumed someone at UT would get one anyways by now considering all the hype it got last night. lol

I'm heading down there shortly, just putting together some information for my advertising clients.

Will upload in about an hour and a half or so.

Just walked through the Air Canada Centre on my way to 90 York. Soooo much weed. Must be Jay-Z and Kayne.

Up in smoke.

On my way back from the ACC I grabbed this shot

Looks like a development is planned for across the Street fro
90 Harbour, which has been renamed 1 York.

Anyone know what this development is all about?

Every black, brown and yellow teenager in the city is at the ACC right now. So if you've ever wanted to walk around Toronto and pretend its the 1950's, tonight is your chance.

1300 bicycle spots!!! still not proportional to the 1400(!!!!!) condos going in the development though.

I still pray that this thing gets shot down, not only is it boxy, it is WAY to tall for twin towers, and I don't want this dominating our skyline. people have to remember that these buildings will truly represent Toronto, and will probably become the most prominent building on the skyline next to the CN tower of course.

I think they'll just be a couple more tall towers, adding to the skyline. I don't think they'll mangle Toronto's rep in any way - they won't "truly represent Toronto" either - why would they represent the city any more than the CN tower or First Canadian Place? They'll just be the latest towering builds, not necessarily anything more than that.

If they turn out to be unimaginative boxes, it'll be a shame of course, but I just can't see it being a serious blight. We already have some unimaginative, sterile treatments of high-rise buildings; we seem to be managing OK anyway. And I'm holding out hope that these twin towers will actually look decent.
