the massing is wonderful and i really loved the basicness of this building. i though it would look amazing if everything went right but alas, the glass is not up to my expectations. could've been so much smoother and seamless

still like it, but i taste reclad in the future.

^^^I like the glass on this one better than 1WTC. I am worried that the glass on all four will look basically the same, though.

As far as I know yes the next floor will be the setback floor. You can see how different this current floor is.

Reclad? The thing looks absolutely fantastic in person.

The glass isn't up to your expectations??? The glass is mind-blowing...what could you possibly have been expecting that would look better?!?!

Uh, the glass is fantastic. What a strange thing to complain about. They will not be doing a reclad of this supurb glass for many decades. Your assumption that they will change the glass shows your lack of understand of how expensive a reclad is.

I still can't get over that comment...I'm beginning to wonder if Aleks is blind or has some kind of vision impairment. The glass is this building's strength...in fact, I'd say that it's about the only thing is has going for it.

Four World Trade Center is actually a monster close up. It isn't a normal building, but a beast. Many people actually have not seen Four World Trade Center and they are criticizing it.

4WTC is actually an extremely well designed building as a massive box. Its right next to One Liberty, which is a massive box, and from various angles it bookends the WTC site with 7WTC (box), or Goldman Sachs (massive box in silhouette). It adds a hell of a lot of balance to the downtown skyline. Just look at the contrast between black matte One Liberty and ultra glassy 4WTC (which was supposed to be matte silver--that was a well conceived detail), it gives One liberty something to play off of and makes it less of an dull black eyesore. Look at the skyline from the south east, the bloated Goldman Sachs building used to make the WTC skyline lopsided.

4WTC would be the largest office tower in 90% of the cities on earth. The cladding is world-class.

Oh yeah, I think the cladding is first class! It's right up there with 1WTC and the London Shard, as far as quality goes.

Walked past this one yesterday. Absolutely love it. The photos, (though awesome, great job lads), really don't do the glass justice.

The glass is out of this world, making this easily my favourite of the 4 WTC towers. It looks like it is made out of chrome, but not in a tacky Vegas pimped up kinda way. It looks like a monolith from the future. Cant wait to see this one poke above all the other skyscrapers in FiDi!
