walking by here the other day I noticed the green signs had been taken down. Not to sure what that means or if someone just tore it down.

I'm hearing Century Group (who did the CityPoint Towers) has bought up some land around Holland Park, I'm not sure if it is the land originally designed for this project or not, has anyone heard anything on this?

This is official - now owned by Century Group. Not sure if they intend on building what was previously proposed. Somehow I'm doubtful...

Not sure either but there is an update planned in the fall, so at the very least there won't be anything built until then.

Could be same project with tweaks. We'll have to wait and see. The market is starting to turn in the right direction and people are realizing that things aren't as bad as they were before. I think they may lop off some of the floors at the top and get them built. Anyone buying a project also typically can buy previous plans and such like Concord with Sky Towers across from Park Place. That saves time and money.

I'm hoping a few of these projects, even not with their original heights, get built. If you get Sky Towers built, 2 more towers near Park Place, and 2 or 3 near Holland, you suddenly have 10 rather beefy towers in a 2 block radius. Starting to become more impressive and draw more business/people to the area.

I noticed today that they have started clearing the Sky Towers lot. Concord wastes no time!

dunno about profits, but the original skytower sold out in a day i think...true the speculators are gone but with park place built already, concords name on the project, and value oriented pricing i think this project will do well

I think the days of selling out an entire development in 10 minutes are gone but Bosa's latest development has proven that even today selling out in a few days is possible. I'd imagine in a few weeks time Concord could easilly sell a new Sky Towers' development to 80-90% just on their name alone.

Holland Pointe is now owned by the century group and is currently in preconstruction.

http://www.centurygroup.ca/#/develop...holland-pointe

Construction is set to begin in late 2011 or early 2012.

Edit: Note that I just read that on their website. If it will actually begin construction on those dates is anyones guess.

Would this be Century Groups largest project so far?

Is this for real? And if it is I am guessing it will be phased with the shortest / lamest tower starting first?

I'm not going to assume anything here. This may just end up like the skytowers in the end.

If you haven't seen presales it isn't going to construction.

Best we can hope for is sales to begin late 2011 early 2012. Anyone care to email the developer they might be able to fill you in with a little more info.

At least there doesn't seem to be a 4 storey wood frame first phase.

This development is being built by Century Group, which is the same developer of the new 3 Civic Plaza beside City Hall... My guess is that they'll build the 3 Civic Plaza first and hope to start the Holland Pointe right after - large builders usually like to build one development after another and keep the same contractors etc... I doubt that they'd build both at the same time, but you never know....
