4 separate paving crews working Campbell Rd area last night. The sign bridge at St Trail and Henday is still not up. This is supposed to be open today. west bound then east bound, at least that's what was said on the radio this morning.

I believe they said Campbell Rd might be another day or two this morning on CTV.

Had a chance to drive Henday tonight. quite a nice drive. large footprint for additional future lanes. You also get an idea of the size of Sherwood Park as you get to Manning drive. The new remand is quite large as you drive by as well.

nice view of DT from the Cambell Rd bridge... as you move west however that dump sure is an eyesore

I just got back from a test drive of the new stretch...went from Stony Plain Rd to Manning Dr. I decided to go now because by the time I get a chance to drive it in the daytime it could be snowing!

Anyway...they did a good job. It was a nice smooth sail. I didn't time the trip, sorry...I'm guessing about 20 minutes.

I think the thing they could have done better is the Yellowhead interchange. Namely, going from NB Henday to WB Yellowhead. I watched this long rig trying to make that tight circular exit with some difficulty. Seeing that NB Henday/WB Yellowhead is part of the CANAMEX route, this probably should have been a west-turning stacked flyover as it was done at the QE2 interchange.

That dump is coming to an end and soon will become a large hill with grass and trees.

Yes it is. From what I've read, the City is putting on tenders on the project I believe late this year or early next year. My timeline may be off a little on that.

I heard the province pretty much just told all the trades to just move their equipment to the NE and get ready to start on it ASAP.

Must add, Im disappointed there is no on or off ramps at 137Ave. Had to go to St Albert Trail and then head south on Mark Messier Dr and continue east on 137th.

I think that was actually the most disappointing aspect of driving down the North section of Anthony Henday. The "Mark Messier Trail" sign before the off-ramp. Other than that, a fast drive with excellent view of the downtown skyscrapers and Sherwood Park/Refinery Row.
