Im not saying Sears will move to Austin, what I am saying is it is likely we will see other companies looking at Austin to move their Corporate HQs in the coming years. One of the big draws will be a Formula 1 racetrack that will be built now that all that unpleasantness with the whole why is there no construction going on fiasco is out of the way. Formula One is a big draw for Corporations, that is their sport. Remember when we host the race there will be More CEOs and company presidents in Austin at one time and place than anywhere in the United States. This gives us a huge advantage in showing off during these times. Why do you think there is so much effort trying to get a F1 race in the NYC area? Because of the ammount of Corporate offices. These people flock to these events like Ants to a cube of sugar...
That being said I must admit I am all for the Occupy Wall Street movement but I can't help but to look the other way when it benefits my city...
