my wife works in Purdy's 1, and even she commented to me the other day "you should have seen the fog yesterday... it made King's Wharf look so cool".

I have a great photo of the exact same sort of fog coming in under the Golden Gate and then slowly crawling over Alcatraz (and only Alcatraz... it was a band of fog that was basically perfectly the width of the island).

That is an impressive volume of fill. Wonder if it is pyritic slate being put to good use?

A lot of it is, although I am curious if the slate is only used for the base (sub-sea level fill) because the only reason why the slate is allowed here is because the salt water will neutralize the acids in it. So any slate above the water line would not be instantly neutralized, although the runoff would. I forgot to take a good look at the material above sea level while I was over there.

Driving by today it appears that a bunch of precast panels have gone up over the weekend, from the Halifax side they look quite light, almost white in color. The apartment building is really speeding along as well.
